St Christopher’s Fellowship

I was back out interviewing yesterday courtesy of AJP. This time it was with St. Christopher’s Fellowship for a Housing Officer re-structured role.

The place was easy to find down in Ladbroke Grove. A bit scary leaving it, a shitload of ambulances dashing to a Sheltered Housing complex around the corner.

The interview was good and I liked what I saw. The Manager, or Area Manager was nice and personable – once again a rare commodity in employment these days.

A2 Dominion Housing

I was at an interview last Friday with A2 Dominion Housing, which used to be Acton Housing Association. The interview was in Hayes over there between Uxbridge/Heathrow.

Alas, it was not to be. However, the Manager and Worker were very nice and it is a shame, you rarely find such people to work with/for these days.

Prosperous New Year?

Could 2009 be good? In reality 2008 was horrible.

Last week I managed to pull a shift with AJP at the Wet Day Centre on Tollington Way run by Equinox. I was there again on Monday.

Communicating with service users in a wet day centre or wet hostel is hardly taxing on the brain, but it was satisfying. the staff and volunteers were all very nice and appeared to be dedicated.

Kan 2009 vara bra? I själva verket 2008 var hemskt.

Förra veckan hade jag lyckats dra en övergång med AJP på våt dag centrum för Tollington Way drivs av Equinox. Jag var där igen på måndag.

Att kommunicera med användare i en våt dag eller våt vandrarhem är knappast beskattning på hjärnan, men det var tillfredsställande. personal och volontärer var alla mycket trevliga och verkade vara hängiven.

Job Offers

I have applied for several jobs over the past five months, with not much to report. I even applied for a job in Norrköping prison.

I had two interviews last week and was offered the first job and today I was offered the second job, both with mental health and learning difficulties.

I will wait and see what I will do as I have three interviews this week with the NHS.

Jag har sökt flera jobb under de senaste fem månader, med inte mycket att rapportera. Jag ansökte om ett jobb som psykisk hälsa sjuksköterska i Norrköping fängelse.

Jag hade två intervjuer i förra veckan och erbjöds första jobb och jag i dag har erbjudits andra jobb, både med psykiska och inlärningssvårigheter.

Jag kommer att vänta och se vad jag kommer att göra eftersom jag har tre intervjuer den här veckan med sjukhus.
